New Single

"The album’s diverse sound, blending passionate vocals and intricate guitar work, creates a musical landscape that resonates with authenticity."
- Illustrate Magazine

"‘Not That Kind of Love Song’ stands out. A timeless acoustic guitar track, ‘Not That Kind of Love Song’ lilts and serenades the listener. A soothing offering, the tune is a more mature take on the pining melodramatic adolescent genre, the kind from a musician who’s seen a bit life before penning his work."

About Sano Hill

Sano Hill is an award-winning Irish singer-songwriter. His music has been described as defining “a timeless recipe for original guitar music: inventive, humanist lyrics sung from the gut, then embedded in rhythms to barrage or soothe the soul' (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). His influences range widely from Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello to Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave, U2 and Radiohead. In November 2023, Hill released his Award-winning debut album 'If Not Now, When?' (winner of the prestigious New Artist Spotlight 'Album of the Year' Award) to rave reviews with Plastic Magazine describing it as "a superb LP that showcases the full scope of his original sound across its eleven songs”. Leading Irish music magazine, Hot Press, choose album track 'Not that Kind of love Song' as one of the 'Songs of the Week' and described the album's opening track 'Time Out' as “best of all, my favourite track... 'Time Out' tries to capture the sound, sense and smell of Galway in a similar vein to Van Morrison's finest compositions about his native Belfast".

"I believe that the songs I write speak to people – they have soul and depth and strong melodies that connect with listeners. When I write I try to bring integrity to what I do and say something meaningful in the songs that people hopefully can connect with and maybe sing along with – these are songs of hope ultimately, though they also chart pain and challenging circumstances, be it in relationships, life or the challenges we face as a species given how the world is right now socially and environmentally. But there is always hope and that’s what I try to communicate in my songs. The possibility that we can overcome." - Sano Hill interview with 'Chasing Destino'

Fever is a new departure for the Sano Hill sound, a collaboration with English indie, pop and dance artist and producer Blue Scarr. Sano Hill - Sing Out Loud

“Sing Out Loud” is the fourth single from my forthcoming album, “If Not Now, When?”. In the uncertain world we all inhabit, still recovering from the Covid-19 Pandemic, this song is about reconnecting with the world and each other and celebrating the joy of living and the potential of every moment to bring insight. The song explores this theme by focusing on a singer/songwriter and his attempt to come to terms with his own fears and insecurities, to believe in his music and voice and perform again, to 'Sing Out Loud'. SING OUT LOUD Sano Hill You wake up To the sound of music once again The tune was so clear Playing in your head Another day, another chance To make it right To step out from behind the smile Where you hide No more to listen To the voices that say 'no' Can you step outside And can you let go This time And Sing Out Loud now And hold on if you can No need for ATC No rules to understand But you say It's too soon, it's too high, it's too far to go But be here now, be here now, be here now, be here now Can you step on through the wall You spent a life building up And watch it fall away As you finally wake up No more a prisoner Of everything that might be Can you stop making sense And just let it be No more to listen to the voices that say no Can you step outside, and Can you let go This time And Sing Out Loud now And hold on if you can No need for ATC No rules to understand But you say It's too soon, it's too high, it's too far to go But be here now, be here now, be here now, be here now Wait What are you running from Stay Can you be here now What are you running from Can you be here now What are you running from Can you be here now What are you running from be here now What are you running from Yah oh what are you running Running away oh Running away oh What are you running from What are you running from What are you running from And you run, and you run and you run What are you running from And you run and you run and you run What are you running from And you run Can you be here now Can you be here now Can you be here now Can you be here now Can you be here now (c) (P) Sano Hill 2022 Music Video for 'Sing Out Loud' by Sano Hill Music, Lyrics and Performance: Sano Hill Production: Larry Hogan Music Video Producer: Ruben Noksound ISRC: AUMEV2281460 UPC: 9353450856620 Song Registered with IMRO/PRS CAE/IPI No: 00264176853 Stream 'Sing Out Loud' at https://streamondistro.lnk.to/SingOutLoud Download 'Sing Out Loud' at https://sanohill.bandcamp.com/ Find Sano Hill at https://linktr.ee/SanoHill

Sano Hill: The Climb

Sano Hill: The Climb

“The Climb” is a song I’ve been living with and reworking for some time. Like most of my songs, it began as a melody I carried with me for a long time, with different lyrics emerging and never quite getting to the core of what I wanted to express. It began as a song of seduction but gradually evolved into something both darker and more hopeful. The experience of the past two years was definitely a factor, trying to come to terms with the enormity of what we have been facing, including the impact of climate change, seeking meaning, understanding and hoping ultimately that we can all overcome. Thanks to everyone who made this music video possible, particularly EL Putnam for all her work in bringing it together; it was a huge privilege to collaborate with such a gifted creative media artist. Thanks also to Adrian Crosson for drone footage; Anne Karhio for the opening moon shot; and Niall Crosson for the dawn over Laraweehan shot towards the close. To the visionary William Blake - thank you for the inspiration and extraordinary images. If you enjoy the song and video, please click the subscribe button for further updates.
